Prof. Dr. Atila Eralp, Director of CES-METU, ensured the visibility of the EU4SEAS Project in the debates, and contributed with tthe presentation of the Final Policy brief: entitled "The EU and Multilateralism: Nine Recommendations" that lays out a set of policy recommendations for policy-makers, in order to contribute to the debate about the role of the EU in global and regional multilateralism.

Participants and speakers, comprising experts as well as officials, media and civil society representatives, were drawn from UNSC permanent member states and also from other leading or influential powers like Brazil, India, Indonesia, Turkey and South Africa. Representatives of international organisations (the Arab League, UN, World Bank, EIB, the presidency of the G8 and the G20) also were asked to contribute, with the aim of engaging in a focused dialogue with Arab politicians, experts and civil society activists.
